Rally Of Solidarity With Belarusian Protesters Held In New York

On Friday, March 24, a rally was held near Belarusian consulate in New York.

It was initiated by the Belarusians of Florida.

Speeches protesting against the absurd inhuman tax on unemployment and against crackdown in Belarus, calls to release the detained during protests in Belarus were heard during the rally. Words of solidarity with Belarusian protesters were expressed.

Though it was a working day, more than 50 persons took part in the rally. Some of them had arrived from Miami and other places of Florida, from Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Belarusians of New York and its neighbourhood are to gather for another meeting on March 26 at 3 p.m. on Union Square near George Washington monument to attract attention of Americans to Belarus.
