Belarusians Urge IMF Not To Give Loans To Lukashenka

An appeal to the International Monetary Fund’s officials has been spread in the social networks.

"The public discussion of these issues seems very important to me. People have a right to know who and how helps the regime. As for those who do it, should be aware of their responsibility, "- initiator of the action Dzianis Kazakevich has said.

He calls on the Belarusians to write letters to the head of the IMF mission to Belarus Peter Dolman and advisor of the IMF mission in Minsk Julia Lysko with the requirement not to give credits to Lukashenka's regime.

The activist has written the following in his letter:

"Could you, please, as a respected professional and a humane person, suspend all negotiations between the IMF and the government of the Republic of Belarus? Thousands of citizens of Belarus have already signed the petition and all the necessary formalities with the filing to the headquarters of the IMF, with an explanation of the economic justification of the petition will follow. However, the collection of signatures takes time, while more than 200 peaceful law-abiding citizens of the Republic of Belarus have been illegally detained and remain in the remand prisons now, when you are reading these lines. Make the right decision. Build your reputation by yourselves. "

The address of the IMF Office in Belarus: 220030, Minsk, Valadarski Street, 6.
