Belarusians Decided To Sue Tax Authorities For Decree "On Parasites"

Another Belarusian will sue tax authorities for the absurd decree.

29-year-old Siarhei Sivadzedau, a resident of the village of Volia in Kamianetz district, has brought legal proceedings against the tax office, as he does not consider himself a "parasite", Belsat reports.

The young man works on the land and makes his living this way, but he, like many other Belarusians, received a so-called "chain letter". Siarhei was not taken aback, and, following the example of Homel resident Aliaksandr Siamionau, filed a lawsuit against the tax office of Kamenets district. Sivadzedau wants the court to adjudge that he is not a "parasite" and that he doesn’t have to pay the tax according to the decree №3.

"I am accused that I am supposedly a social dependent, although I do not think so. I pay various taxes and fees. Why do I have to pay now – just because I am a Belarusian?" – Siarhei Sivadzedau asked.

The young man believes that the court will be on his side and exempt him from taxation, especially that Homel resident Aliaksandr Siamionau, who had legal proceedings with the tax office, was taken off the list of "parasites".
