Most of the “visa-free” foreigners have come from Germany.

93 people used the opportunity to visit Belarus without a visa for the day since the 5-day visa-free regime, imposed by Belarus with regard to the citizens of 80 countries, came into force, Radio Liberty reports.

The majority of the “visa-free” foreigners came from Germany — 16 people. 14 guests arrived from Poland, 15 – from the Great Britain, and 8 — from the Czech Republic.

“We mostly expect guests from the EU countries, the USA and other states which have a rather big Belarusian diaspora. We have conducted some serious work aimed at popularization of the country with all whom it might concern,” — Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism Mikail Partny has told.

The five-day visa-free regime for those who arrive to Belarus via the National Airport "Minsk", came into force on February 12. It applies to the citizens of 80 countries, including all European Union countries as well as Brazil, Indonesia, the United States, Japan and other countries.
