The Ukrainian journalist could become another hostage to the Kremlin in Belarus.

Lyudmila Kozlovskaya, a human rights activist, the Open Dialog Foundation director, commenting on the detention of Ukrainian Radio correspondent Pavel Sharoiko in Belarus, has told the Internet edition GORDON that Belarus could become another "territory of lawlessness", where the Russian special services operate.

"We do not know the details yet, but we will keep on top of things, because it looks like Belarus has just become one more territory of lawlessness for Russian special services. We want to find out if Belarusians are interested in his detention themselves or he has been detained as a new hostage to the Kremlin. He, like Pavel Grib, might be sent over," – she noted.

Kozlovskaya expressed her confidence that it had become dangerous for Ukrainians to travel to Belarus.
