German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel Arrived In Minsk

The politician will hold a series of meetings of different levels.

Vice-Chancellor, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Sigmar Gabriel arrived in Minsk with an official visit today, BelTA informs.

Before his flight to Minsk, the vice-chancellor recalled that the world sometimes forgot that "Belarus is a country in the heart of Europe" and noted that Germany wants to establish closer relations with Belarus.

During the visit to Belarus, Sigmar Gabriel met with Lukashenka. The vice-chancellor has also scheduled to meet with Uladzimir Makei. Gabriel will also address the participants of the XV Minsk Forum, where politicians and diplomats will discuss the relations between Germany and Belarus and cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.
