The fate of the Belarusian "collective farm" is obvious. Selling the pieces of sovereignty is already dangerous — too much is sold and the dangerous point, when the loss of independence will be irreversible, appears too close. They seem scared of reforms as they will destroy the regime very quickly. And without reforms, it only has to rely on loans, which are becoming increasingly difficult to repay. Yes, squeeze the last juice out of the people.
The Belarusian regime has already passed the stage of denying the obvious end and is balancing between the stages of anger and bargaining. Sometimes it persecutes the opponents with inadequate cruelty, then tries to retreat and bargain with the people. For instance, with that decree on the tax on the unemployed.
The society should speed up the transition to the bargaining stage and force the regime to negotiate with the people’s representatives. We should not wait till he sells the whole country for just another month at power. Or squeezes the last from the people. Or takes as many loans it will be impossible even for grandchildren to repay. And the mayhem committed by the law-enforcers, as in the case with tortures against soldiers in Pechy, will only escalate.
The mechanism for accelerating the inevitable end of this collective farm regime is one - mass actions. There is no other option. No, there is one more that some hotheads have already begun to call for. But it's better to do without it — it's easy to start shooting, then it's very difficult to stop.
When hundreds of thousands go to the streets, then the regime will have no choice but to bargain with the people. The stages of depression and acceptance will pass after this very quickly.
Even a few thousand protesters in the squares frighten the regime, force it to concessions and give the necessary effect. For example, the inadequate dispersion of the action on March 25 threw off a loan from the West for $ 3.5 billion. That brought the inevitable end nearer and saved the next generation from the need to return this loan. And the people finally realized who they are dealing with.
And now, in view of the upcoming action on October 21, our “collective farm” chairman is losing his mind totally. Inadequate arrests of the leaders started again. He will surely do something more. The main thing is to frighten a fool properly. And then he will do everything to make his position worse by himself. Especially, when the fool is such a coward.
