Enterprises' Debts Reached $ 700 Million

Debts of enterprises for gas, heat and electricity continue to grow.

Debts for gas and electricity of economic entities in the domestic market of Belarus is about $ 700 million. Deputy Minister of Energy Vadzim Zakreuski told about it, BelTA writes.

"Debts for gas equal to $ 300 million in the domestic market. There is a $ 400 million debt for electricity and heat ," – he said.

According to the Deputy Minister, this debt is increasing. In this situation, to pay off debts it is necessary to take loans to replenish working capital.

"Enterprises of the Department of Energy have to take loans to ensure timely payments to an external energy supplier," – he stated.

Zakreuski noted, that the Ministry of Energy is going to keep adhering to a strict policy in relation to non-payers, up to a power outage.
