Veramko Had His Nose And Hleb – His Cheekbone Broken In Astana

Two BATE footballers got injured during the away play-off round match of the Europa League with Astana.

Midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb retired in the first half after a rough header by rivals’ defender Logvinenko. Experienced “yellow-blue” midfielder has already been examined in a local hospital where he was diagnosed with a broken cheekbone – he will need surgery, the official BATE website informs.

Goalkeeper Siarhei Veramko has been to the hospital as well, having been injured in a foul with Muzhikov on the 62nd minute. The BATE goalkeeper had his nose broken.
