Former Defense Minister: There Is A Serious Threat From Belarus

A lot of troops accumulate not far from Belarusian-Ukrainian border.

It poses a threat to Ukraine, despite the assurances of Aliaksandr Lukashenka that there is no threat.

This opinion was expressed during a round table by the representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral contact group at the negotiations in Minsk, the former Defense Minister Yevhen Marchuk, UNN reports.

“Very serious problems accumulate there (in Belarus - Ed.) for Ukraine. Although you know the statement of Aliaksandr Lukashenka that there will be no war against Ukraine from the Belarusian land,” – he said.

Let us remind that Marchuk has earlier said that Russia's actions in Georgia in 2008, the annexation of the Crimea, the rapprochement with Turkey have seriously unbalanced the south-eastern flank of NATO.
