Slutsk Bakery Director Detained For $ 800 Bribe

The Minsk region Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against the director of JSC Slutsk bakery.

According to Investigative Committee official representative Tatsiana Belanoh, following the search operations conducted by the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, the head has been arrested for taking bribes, BelaPAN informs.

According to investigators, the official authorized to carry out legal actions used his position for personal gain. The director took a bribe of $ 800 from a private enterprise representative for lobbying his commercial interests and provision of his friend’s employment.

The case is under investigation at the moment.

Interrogations, searches, confrontations and a number of other investigative actions are being carried out in order to establish the circumstances of the illegal activity.
