Second Secretary for Consular Affairs of the Embassy of Belarus Ilya Kapitan reported this to BelTA. According to him, the diplomats continue to monitor the situation and communicate with the competent authorities.

As became known earlier, Belarusian blogger Yelena Melnikava (Elena Stogova) was in Nice near the place where the terrorist attack happened, but she was not injured.

As is known, on the night of July 15, during the French national holiday, a truck rammed a crowd of people on the promenade in Nice. It drove about 2 kilometers until a police officer shot the terrorist. French president called the tragedy a terrorist attack. 84 people were reported dead, there are foreigners among them (one Ukrainian citizen and one citizen of the Russian Federation were reported killed).
