Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valiantsin Rybakou stated in the UN that the problem of human rights “is being artificially overloaded.”

On July 12, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valiantsin Rybakou took part in the high-level meeting of the UN General Assembly on human rights “UN@70 - Human Rights at the centre of the global agenda,” which was held on the initiative of the 70th session Chairman of the UN General Assembly Mogens Lyukketoft.

BelaPAN reports that in his speech Rybakou noted that the UN human rights monitoring “must have reasonable limits, stressing the inadmissibility of artificial overloading of human rights issues, where it is not required, and the use of human rights issues for political pressure on sovereign states.”
