The supply of Turkish tomatoes to Belarus, Azerbaijan, Israel and Syria has increased by 10 times.

This happened after Russia imposed the restriction on the supply of a number of food products from Turkey. These conclusions follow from the current monitoring data of the economic situation in Russia, prepared by the Gaidar Institute and the Russian Academy of Foreign Trade.

The report states that in the first quarter of 2015, Turkey exported to Russia 70% of the total exports of tomatoes. After the introduction of restrictions on the supply of Turkish products in 2016, the total exports of tomatoes from Turkey decreased by only 8%, the rns.online resource reports.
