Kabiakou: It's Time To Go Back Of Dollars

The prime minister asked not to measure Belarusians’ wages in dollar terms.

After the meeting with Lukashenka on the draft outline of the so-called “Belarus’ socio-economic development program for 2016-2020,” Prime Minister Andrei Kabiakou spoke out his expectations on wages:

– I think our society has realized that the practice of measuring these figures in U.S. dollars has to go away. Measuring revenues in U.S. dollars is not always fair and is not exactly correct from the point of view of economics, – BelTA quotes the Prime Minister.

If not to measure in dollars, Kabiakou assures, that the government promises a slight increase in wages and incomes of Belarusians:

– There won’t be building castles in the air or a three-digit growth. The growth will be balanced but absolutely incremental, consistent and decent. But again I say, there shouldn’t be any dollar equivalents – Kabiakou said.
