Time For Labour Training Of Schoolchildren To Be Doubled

Since September 1 Belarusian schoolchildren are to study according a new curriculum.

Thus, all second-graders are to study Russian and Belarusian language and literature for the same amount of hours. Stepwise, “Health and Wellness” is to be introduced to the curriculum for schoolchildren of the second and fifth grade. Much to the joy of sixth-graders, Physics is to disappear from the class schedule, and it is to appear there only in the 7th grade. In 5-6 grades History of World Art is to be studied, Minsk-Novosti reports.

Besides, the number of academic hours for handicraft lessons is to be increased. Earlier labour training took one lesson a week, and since the new academic year these lessons are to take 2 hours.
