Representatives of four sports got caught cheating.

Director of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) Dzianis Muzhzhukhin told that a small concentration meldonium had been found in doping tests of 12 Belarusian athletes, BelTA informs.

“The attention to the issue of meldonium is obvious. The head of VADA has been thrown into confusion by the unprecedented number of cases of the drug usage. Twelve Belarusian athletes have tested positive for meldonium. Nine athletes have been exposed by our agency. However, in accordance with the VADA’s recommendations, the athletes can participate in the competitions until the scientific studies on meldonium are over, which will be presumably in 3-4 months,” – Muzhzhukhin said.

The charter97.org website has already informed that the Belarusian national rowing team had been searched in France.

The search with the involvement of the police force, according to coach Uladzimir Shantarovich, was initiated by the Paris Anti-Doping Agency and allowed by the prosecutor of Agen.
