The International Monetary Fund demands from the Belarusian authorities a greater commitment to economic and structural reforms.

This conclusion follows from the summary statement of the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the results of the annual meeting of the Boards of Governors of the IMF and World Bank on April 13-16, AFN informs.

In other words, the IMF is not satisfied with the commitments that the Belarusian government is ready to take over as part of the reform.

“The parties agreed to continue cooperation on the assessment of the economic situation in Belarus and to complete the provisions of the new IMF program for the country,” – the statement says.

The Belarusian delegation held meetings with Deputy Director of the IMF Mitsuhiro Furusawa, Director of the European Department of the IMF Paul Thomsen, head of the IMF mission to Belarus Peter Dolman.
