Businessman Yauhen Baskin Released From KGB Remand Prison

According to information of mass media, director general of Servolux agreed to “compensate for the damage to the state.”

On March 22 director general of Servolux companies group Yauhen Baskin was released.

In the conversation with BelaPAN reporter he refused to tell details of his release from the KGB remand prison.

According to kyky.org, the businessman, charged with tax evasion, has paid damages caused to the state.

Yauhen Baskin has become the second large businessman, charged with tax evasion and released after paying damages. A week ago the owner of Biocom company Anrei Paulouski did the same. In his case the sum of “damages” was $20 million. After that he was pardoned by Lukashenka.

Servolux is the largest manufacturer of poultry meat in Belarus. The enterprise is diversified: it is engaged in milk processing, feedstuff supplies, retail trade – in one of the interviews Baskin was even called “agrarian integrator.”
