General Secretary Of Austrian Foreign Ministry Opens Embassy In Minsk

The Austrian Embassy is to be opened in Minsk on February 9.

General Secretary of the Federal Ministry for European Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Michael Linhart is visiting Belarus next week, the website naviny.by informs.

On February 9, Linhart is to take part in the opening ceremony of the Austrian Embassy in Minsk. The final program of the visit is being specified.

The decision to open the embassy was taken by the Austrian side following the results of the visit to Minsk of the Federal Minister for European Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Sebastian Kurz in May 2015. On January 25 this year, Austrian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Beierl presented his credentials to Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
