Viktor Muzhenko: "Threat Of Russian Aggression Is Possible From Different Directions"

Russia has considerable offensive capabilities on the borders with Ukraine.

The threat of a large-scale Russian aggression comes not only from the east of Ukraine, but also from the north, southwest and the temporarily occupied Crimea, where Russia has considerable offensive capabilities.

Such a statement was made by Chief of General Staff of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko to the Ukrinform agency. According to him, the General Staff are aware of the military threats and calculate the possible scenarios in the case of a large-scale Russian aggression.

Muzhenko noted that the situation in the army today is fundamentally different from the one that had been at the beginning of the armed aggression of Russia. The combat potential of the armed forces is much higher, forces are trained and equipped with modern weapons and communications support, they got a real combat experience.
