Russia Sharply Reduces Oil Supplies To Belarus

Oil export to Belarus is expected to reach 18 million tons against the planned 24 million.

According to the official representative of the Transneft company Igor Demin, this year the Russian side has supplied by six million tons less of oil to Belarus, than it was planned, TASS reports.

In general, export to Belarus is expected to reach 18 million tons against the planned 24 million tons.

"In the second half of 2016, lower volumes were delivered to Belarus, as the supplies changed in the middle of the year, and, instead of the planned 24 million tons, Belarus received 18 million tons", – said Demin.

He reminded that it is scheduled to deliver 4.5 million tons of oil to Belarus in the first half of 2017.
