The country slid to a level below the "dashing nineties".

Head of the analytical center Strategy Leanid Zaika said that during a discussion on the strategy of economic development of Belarus, Radio Racyja reports.

– We have been moving in a circle for 25 years, now the question is, if we are going to do this again. What are the conclusions this time, for the moment? Business exists, but, be it as it may, the efficiency reduces. In 1991, GDP per capita in PPP (purchasing power parity) was 4900, and now it will be 4600-4700.

The absence of privatization in the country, capital reduction, weakness of the authorities can contribute to a greater deterioration of the economic situation in Belarus next year.
