Individual entrepreneur and social activist Mikalai Charnavus held a one-person picket against rising prices in Baranavichy on Monday, November 30.

As Charnavus said to BelaPAN, he took to the street holding a placard saying "People are impoverished. I am against increase in prices! And you?"

"People approached me and expressed their indignation, saying that the life of common people was getting worse and worse due to the raising prices, – Charnavus added. – I didn't apply for an action, because officials would find a reason to ban it."

The activist held the one hour picket at the site in the old city park of culture and recreation, which is the place, officially intended for holding mass events by the City Executive Committee.
