Spare Car Parts Totaling To $ 200 Thousand Seized From Sole Trader By Customs Officers

More than 15 thousand spare car parts were seized at the Belarusian-Lithuanian border.

Belarusian customs officers seized a large shipment of auto parts worth nearly 400 thousand Belarusian rubles, BelTA reports referring to the press service of the State Customs Committee.

“More than 15 million units of spare car parts, illegally transported from Lithuania to the territory of the EAEC, seized by the Operational Customs employees. Their cost, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to about 398 000 rubles,” – the SCC informed.

The press service explained that the attempt of illegal transportation of the spare car parts across the border was cracked down by customs officers, when they were carrying out monitoring and screening activities, using the capabilities of risk evaluation and management system. As it turned out, the product was not declared in the documents submitted for customs processing. The Operational Customs opened an administrative case under Part. 1, Art. 14.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
