Rosselkhoznadzor Found Antibiotics In Belarusian Cheese

Cheese, with an unacceptable rate of antibiotics, was produced by the JSC Shchuchyn Creamery.

“An unacceptable level of antibiotics – tetracycline and oxytetracycline” was found in the “Russian New” cheese with a fat weight fraction of 50%, produced by the JSC Shchuchyn Creamery.

The examination had been conducted by the Tver interregional veterinary laboratory, subordinated to the Rosselkhoznadzor, the ministry press service on Tver and Pskov regions informed on 18 October.

The Tver Region State Veterinary Inspectorate, the Tver Region and Rospotrebnadzor Department and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision were informed on the results of the products’ examination “to take measures within their competence.”

On October 13, Rosselkhoznadzor reported the presence of vegetable fat in the “Russian” cheese, produced by the same plant.
