Maria Rymar Allowed To Leave For Russia

The Russian citizen, who had joked about trotyl at the Minsk airport, was fined $ 1,050.

The Aktiabrski district court of Minsk found human rights activist from Samara Maria Rymar guilty of a false report about the danger and sentenced her to a fine of 100 basic units – 2100 rubles ($ 1,050), Radio Svaboda informs.

We remind that Maria Rymar was detained in the Minsk airport on charges of knowingly false report of having trotyl in her luggage. The incident occurred on July 7. 11 days later Mary Rymar was released from jail, but restrictions were imposed on her, she was not allowed to travel to Russia.

Maria Rymar did not plead guilty, she told the court that her words about trotyl in the luggage had been a joke.
