Two goals from Jonathan Cheechoo and Jeff Glass' fantastic performance helped Dinamo Minsk to a 3-2 win against Gagarin Cup holder SKA St. Petersburg in a KHL action on 27 January.

It was the second on-ice meeting for the two teams this season. At its very start, on 27 August 2015, the Belarusians lost 1-2 to the Russian team. Minsk Bisons started fast with two quick goals from Jonathan Cheechoo and Alexei Kalyuzhny. Jonathan Cheechoo scored on the power-play four minutes into the game to give the Bisons a 1-0 lead. Alexei Kalyuzhny scored at 9:43 of the first to put Dinamo ahead 2-0. Jonathan Cheechoo sent home his second of the night at 16:23 of the second period to make it 3-0. It passed less than a minute as SKA's Nikita Gusev placed his team on the scoreboard.

The guests continued picking up steam and pulled the goalie for an extra attacker with just a couple of minutes left to play. The move proved right as Vadim Shipachyov pulled one more back. Although being outshot 19-47, Dinamo Minsk stood strong to keep the win. Dinamo Minsk goalie Jeff Glass, who contributed a lot to his team's victory, was named the player of the game.

Dinamo Minsk celebrated their second win in a row. With 74 points the Bisons are now 9th in the West, five points away from the playoff zone. The Belarusians will next play Spartak Moscow on 29 January.
