Government Expects To Sell 60 Companies In 2016

The State Property Committee of Belarus has announced the execution of the sale of state-owned shareholding at auctions and on a competitive basis in 2016.

56 open joint stock companies and 4 enterprises as property complexes are included in the published list. The relevant information is available on the official website of the Ministry, BelTA informs.

The list of open joint stock companies, state-owned shareholding of which is supposed to be sold at auctions and on a competitive basis, includes enterprises of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Communications and Information, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Culture, as well as Belgospischeprom, Bellesbumprom, Bellegprom.

For example, 100% of shares of Homel Radio Plant, JSC Karal (Homel), JSC Lantan (Orsha district) are offered for sale,as well as shares of state-owned shareholding of JSC BATE – the managing company of Autocomponents (Barysau), JSC Holding Management Company Harizont (Minsk), JSC Promsvyaz (Minsk).

Potential investors may be interested in such open joint stock companies as Ivatsevichdrev, Vitebskdrev, Mogilevdrev, FanDOK (Babruisk), Paper Mill Spartak (Shklou), and others. There are three enterprises subordinate to Ministry of Emergency Situations in the list of republican unitary enterprises, the sale of which is planned as property complexes, as well as one enterprise subordinate to concern Belgospischeprom.

According to the report of the State Property Committee, all the received applications are to be considered by the Commission and after considering the results of these applications offers to be made on viability of preparing draft decisions on sale.
