Azarenka Celebrates Another Victory at Australian Open

Victoria Azarenka celebrated another victory at the Australian Open. She defeated Danka Kovinić of Montenegro in the second round — 6:1, 6:2.

The match took 71 minutes. 26-year-old Azarenka is the World No.16 and 21-year-old Kovinić is in the 54th position, Euroradio reports.

The Belarusian will compete with Naomi Osaka of Japan (127) in the third round (1/16 final). The 18-year-old Japanese player defeated Ukrainian Elina Svitolina (21) and is trying to get to the top-100.

Two Belarusians dropped out of the Australian Open earlier – Volha Havarstova (first round) and Aliaksandra Sasnovich (2nd round). Nevertheless, both of them will get nice fees and score ranking points.
