Russian paratroopers land near Vitsebsk

Russian paratroopers and Belarusian airborne units are carrying out joint military exercises in the Vitsebsk region.

According to RIA Novosti, the air assault unit of the Pskov Airborne Division and Belarusian airmobile units began exercises in the Vitsebsk region in Belarus.

It was reported on September 29 by lieutenant-colonel Yevgeny Meshkov, a representative of the press service of the Russian Airborne Forces.

The exercises will consist of several stages.

“The active stage and shooting exercises will be held on September 29 and 30 at the firing range Losvida (the Vitsebsk region) after a training of the units of the two friendly countries involved in the exercises,” Meshkov said.
