Statkevich welcomed with applause in Minsk threate

Theatre critic Viachaslau Rakitski writes about the story that took place yesterday in Minsk.

“People welcomed Mikalai Statkevich with applause as he entered the house at the premiere of What to Do with the Tiger based on Slawomir Mrozek's play in private Theatre Ch. It's interesting and pleasant that theatre goers know and welcome the opposition leader. It is also important that the Belarusian-language theatre invites national-democratic politicians to the premiere. Uladzimir Niakliaeu also watched the play. Premieres are not only for Yarmoshyna and Lazavik. However, audience in state-owned theatres doesn't applaud them. And even doesn't notice them,” Rakitski wrote.
