Continued currency collapse

Belarusian currency continues its depreciation.

In the morning Belarusian banks, without waiting for results of trading, have once again raised the rate of purchase and sale of the US dollar.

It was possible to sell dollars at Br16 700 and buy at Br16 800. Such banks as BPS sell dollars at Br17 000, Nasha Niva reports.

TrustBank sells dollars at Br17 050.

Euro is purchased at Br18 700, but traded at more than Br19 000.

After trading on August 21 official currency rates are as follows: dollar –Br16730 (+Br232), euro – Br18 837 (+500).

Russian ruble decreased from Br246.30 to Br245.72

It should be reminded that Belarus has suffered 40% depreciation since the beginning of the year.

Nevertheless, experts are concerned that it is only the beginning and the result of the policy pursued for 2 decades.
