Minsk residents: Dollar is to cost Br20 000

Dollar exchange rate hits a fresh all-time high in Belarus.

Today banks trade the American currency at Br16 thousands, an official exchange rate has come close to this point, Belsat reports.

Since last week the Belarusian ruble has devaluated by 5%.

Minsk residents are not surprised with it.

“It was expected”, a man said.

“We, the Belarusians, got used to it and after New Year knew that it would happen. I guess it will cost Br20 000”, a Minsk dweller said.
