Ukraine and Slovakia discuss reverse gas flow increase

Ukrainian and Slovakian operators of the gas pipeline systems have held discussions on the issue of increasing reverse gas supplies from Europe to Ukraine, according to Ukraine’s Ukrtransgaz.

The news from the Ukrainian company comes in the wake of the earlier announcement by Ukraine’s Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn stating that the country halted all gas purchases from Russia on July 1.

Meanwhile, Naftogaz chief Andriy Kobolev said on Friday, July 03, that he expected the next round of trilateral gas talks between Ukraine, Russia and the European Union to be held this month, Ukraine Today reports.
