Despite the promises of guaranteed places in a dormitory, there are not many those who wish to do that.

A reader of charter97.org has told that at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics volunteers are engaged to collect signatures in support of Lukashenka.

“At the BSUIR students are engaged to collect signatures in support of the incumbent “president”. The vice-rector for educational work Syarhei Dzik promises that collectors of signatures are guaranteed to be offered a place in the dormitory and Br150,000 per a working day. Despite the promises, there are not many people who wish to participate,” he writes.

The reception desk of the university refused to comment on this fact, assuring that elections do not influence lives of students in any way.

“We house everyone according to the rules of the university, it does not depend on the participation in the election campaign,” was said at the office of the rector.

We remind that the “election” is to take place on October 11.
