Brest police officer shot himself dead

A corpse of a police officer with a gunshot injury was found in an office at 8 am on July 22, 2015.

The press service of Brest Department of Internal Affairs informed Virtual Brest.

At the moment the Investigative Committee (IC) conducts checks. The IC commentary will be available in the near future.

The incident became public yesterday. According to the portal, it is all about a high-level official, the head of one of the departments. "We have accurate information, because of ethical reasons we cannot publish it yet," journalists report.

Investigators will find out the cause of the incident. The official had a good family.
