Belarus's GDP falls 3.3%

GDP has fallen by 3.3% in the first 6 months of the year compared to the same period last year.

In monetary terms, GDP was 404.486 trillion rubles, AFN reports.

GDP fell by 0.4% in January, 0.6% in January-February, 2.1% in January-march, 2.6% in January-April, 3.0% in January-May.

Industrial output was Br352.15 trillion, which is 7.4% less than in the same period of 2014. Compared to May, industrial output increased by 3.8% in June, but fell 5.9% compared to last June.

Agricultural output increased by 2.7% to Br42.12 trillion. The growth was 39.7% compared to this May and 1.8% compared to last June.

For the 6 months this year, 2,747,800 square metres of premises were put into service, which is by 1.4% more than in January-June 2014. Investments in fixed capital decreased by 13.5% to Br92.53 trillion.
