“European Belarus” activist Leanid Kulakou arrested in Minsk

Leanid Kulakou was detained in Mayakovsky Street in the Belarusian capital.

The activist of “European Belarus” civil campaign visited the court of Minsk district in order to take back his photo camera, seized from him during the previous arrest. Near the entrance policemen came up to his car and detained him. charter97.org was informed about that by the coordinator of “European Belarus” civil campaign Maxim Vinyarski, who talked to the activist on the phone. As said by him, Leanid Kulakou was taken to the police department of Leninski district of Minsk. At the moment he is not available on the phone.

The reasons for detention of the activist are still unknown.

We remind that on June 23 the court of Minsk district sentenced Leanid Kulakou to 10 days’ arrest for making a picture of the poster in support of a political prisoner Yury Rubtsou.
