Yauheny Lipkovich: What is printed by Lukashenka is not money, but cut coloured paper

This paper is backed only by promises to go to live in dugouts, and by kisses.

In such a way a well-known Belarusian blogger Yauheny Lipkovich comments in his Facebook account the statement by Alyaksandr Lukashenka that money wouldn’t be printed in Belarus before the “election.”

“What he is printing, it is not money, it is cut coloured paper, which is backed only by kisses and threats to go to live in digouts, but not to cave in to anyone,” the blogger wrote.

We remind that today the dictator stated that the state would not print more money in order to increase salaries in the run-up to the presidential “election”. “We have stated sincerely and honestly that we are not going to inflate salaries by printing money or spending gold and foreign exchange reserves or other ones. But since we cannot raise salaries, the prices should be suitably matched. The matter is in our hands,” Lukashenka said.
