Avaks company in Homel hasn't paid wages for January.

Charter97.org learnt it from a reader. “Avaks company doesn't pay salaries. They give some money once a month. We haven't received wages even for January. We work half day. The accountant ignores our phone calls,” the reader wrote.

The company's representatives refused to comment on the situation.

According to the company's website, Avaks private unitary production enterprise was founded in Homel in 1991. The company has about 150 employees and deals with construction and urban land improvement.

Many Belarusian companies began to delay wages due to the economic crisis. As of May 1, 2015, 23 companies in Minsk owed wages to employees against 17 in April.
