Azarenka withdraws from Birmingham Open

World No.26 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus has been forced to withdraw from the Birmingham Open with a foot injury.

On 17 June she was to play Kazakhstan's Zarina Diyas (World No.34) in the second round, but had to withdraw due to a foot injury.

The Belarusian number one fought through World No.37 Varvara Lepchenko of the United States 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 in the opener.

The grass court Birmingham Open winner will be announced on 21 June.
