Official misconduct in Pukhavichy

Investigative Committee in Minsk region probes a charge against Deputy Chairman of Pukhavichy District Executive Committee.

It was found out that the official had helped his acquaintance to get a land plot for construction. Using his position he steamrolled the decision at the sitting of Pukhavichy District Executive Committee. It was in a short cause list.

As BelaPAN is informed, necessary investigative actions are carried out. The Executive Committee staff is questioned, the inspection in the work place is conducted, as well as search at place of residence, and all documentation for land granting is seized.

Official’s actions fall under Art. 424 para 3 CC Belarus (official misconduct by person assuming a position).
