Georgian and Belarusian wrestlers have brawl at European Games

Freestyle wrestlers from Belarus and Georgia start a fight during a match at the European Games in Baku.

The news is reported by R-Sport.

The incident took place during an under 57 kg quarter-final match between Belarusian Uladzislau Andreyeu and Georgian Vladimir Khinchegashvili. As Andreyeu was winning 2:1, his rival slapped him in the face. The Belarusian sportsman responded in the same way, and the match turned into a fight.

Referees interfered with the conflict. The match was stopped, and both wrestlers were removed from the mat. The judge disqualified both sportsmen and awarded a default 0:4.

Russian Viktor Lebedev and German Marcel Ewald will meet in the final of this weight class.
