Ministry of Finance to again try to buy foreign currency from individuals through bonds

The Belarusian Ministry of Finance again wants to try its luck in the domestic foreign currency market. It plans to get some foreign cash through selling foreign currency convertible bonds to individuals.

The dollar-denominated bonds will be sold from June 22 to the end of the year. It is the first time when individuals will be offered to buy uncertified bonds at Belarusian banks, AFN news agency reports.

The Ministry of Finance expects to sell 50 million dollars of bonds with a yield of 7%.
