Lukashenka flies to Moscow

An informal summit of the CIS leaders who take part in the Victory Day celebrations will be held in Moscow on May 8 on the initiative of Vladimir Putin.

It is reported by the Kremlin's press service.

Belarusian head of state Aliaksandr Lukashenka, presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, Almazbek Atambayev of Kyrgyzstan and Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan confirmed their participation in the event.

The CIS leaders are expected to “overview the results of the joint work on the implementation of the plan of the preparation and celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War that was adopted by the CIS heads of state on February 14, 2014”.
