Belarus down Denmark at 2015 IIHF World Championship

Kevin Lalande made 34 saves as Team Belarus downed Team Denmark 5-1 at the ongoing 2015 IIHF World Championship in the Czech Republic.

Artur Gavrus, Yevgeny Kovyrshin (twice), Andrei Shinkevich, and Ivan Usenko supplied the offence for the Belarusian team.

Julian Jakobsen scored for Denmark that got a 21-save outing from Patrick Galbraith.

Yevgeny Kovyrshin and Daniel Nielsen were named players of the match.

At present Belarus goes 2nd in Group B with 7 points. The group is topped by the United States (9 points), whom Dave Lewis' men are to face on 7 May.

Belarus defeated Slovenia 4-2 in the opener on 2 May and fell 1-2 in OT to Slovakia a day later.
