The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance detected salmonella in a batch of cooled beef manufactured by OAO Alexandrijskoe.

It is noteworthy that it is the second complaint against the OAO Alexandrijskoe this week. In Belarus it is considered a model farm and, besides, it is Lukashenka's small motherland. A few days ago the Department did not let the poultry from the farm in Russia.

Svetlana Zemchenkova, assistant director of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance for Bryansk and Smolensk regions, told Ezhednevnik that the studies of FSBI "Bryansk Interregional Veterinary Laboratory" had found out S.Enteritidis salmonellae in the batch of cooled beef from Belarus.

Smolensk OOO Belmitsnab received it from Mahileu OAO Alexandrijskoe.

The further laboratory control on production for a revealed risk group will be introduced by Territorial Department of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance.

Veterinary control manager of the Smolensk region is recommended to consider above data when adopting measures to prevent the circulation of controlled products not coming up to the requirements.
