Banner “Lukashenka, get out” in centre of Brest

Activists hung out a banner calling on Lukashenka to quit at a busy road junction during a rush hour.

Charter97.org learnt it from a reader.

Activists expressed their protests against the regime of Aliaksandr Lukashenka and supported political prisoner Yury Rubtsou, who was tried for a similar call.

Rubtsou, an activist from Homel, will stand a new trial in the Pruzhany district court at 10:00 on May 27.

Judge Mikalai Repikha will heard a criminal case under article 415 (evasion of serving a term of punishment). The political prisoner may face up to three years in prison.
