Duda’s victory in Polish presidential election officially confirmed

Poland’s state election commission has announced the official results of Sunday’s presidential election, confirming the victory of Andrzej Duda, the leader of the opposition party Law and Justice.

Duda won in the second round of the presidential election, with 51.55% of the vote, while incumbent president Bronisław Komorowski got 48.45%, according to Polish Radio.

The presidential elections in Poland took place on May 24, with the turnout in the second round at 55.34%.

As UNIAN reported earlier, exit polls also indicated that Duda was the victor in the presidential elections in Poland.

Komorowski has already congratulated his opponent on his victory.
